Because I only associate with small limo companies. The larger companies are like Walmart; They get your business and don't offer the great customer service you find with "mom & pop" businesses. For example, most of the larger companies add 20% gratuity which is pre-billed in your contract and is NOT given to the driver. They say "tip is included" but its really just a way to up your bill 20% and screw over their drivers.
This gives the drivers no initiative to offer outstanding service since they are not getting paid to go out of their way. Never use a limo company that adds gratuity on the bill before the job is completed. Do you want to do business with a company that operates this way? The bigger companies are more expensive too; I negotiate with my colleagues and find you the lowest rate.
They spend less on advertising, have more availability, and take better care of the limos. The limos all look great too, inside and out. The pictures on this site are of the actual vehicle listed, no stock images here.
